Katrin Petroschkat

Katrin Petroschkat moves between art and research. Sand, algae, weeds, lichen, charred wood and other unpretentious materials are part of her techno-utopian exploration of landscapes, bodies and spirits. We developed an artist book with overview to objects, photography, video, songs and performances of hers between 2009 – 2020.

We also mapped this boundary crossing typographically. Through footnotes, font and layout on the one hand leaning on the look of scientific textbooks, on the other hand consistently contrasted with radical cuts, offsets and overlays.
