2014 – 2015
In 2014 we were asked to revamp an existing website for the Munich architects ›Spacial Solutions‹. Since 2005 the company has focused on the planning and realization of complex projects in Europe, Asia and Africa–for example on the memorable dome as the stand-out feature of the Kigali Convention Complex in Ruanda which opened in 2016.
Actually, the first plan was to merely import the existing website to a content management system. However, after a thorough analysis of the old website we advised against this approach. In a workshop together with the team around Prof. Roland Dieterle we worked out an optimized structure according to the principle of ›Mobile first‹. We also turned over a new leaf when it came to its design. The core of the new website is a presentation of the projects which can be filtered according to the user's wishes. It can easily be updated with the CMS TYPO3. We were therefore able to offer Spacial Solutions a scaleable and responsive website which makes browsing through the projects fun–no matter the device.
